THE STORY
When the road changed,
God was still at work.
Bigger & More Beautiful grew out of a season when Tyler Philip Ratcliffe’s hopes and plans did not unfold as he expected. Dreams stalled. Some prayers seemed unanswered. Doors closed. In the middle of it, he was learning to trust that God had not stopped working.
Tyler describes looking back and seeing those disappointments differently. What felt like loss was making room for a future he could not have planned for himself. As his family stepped into a new season, he began to let go of his own timeline and trust God with what came next.
“He was making room for something I never could have imagined.”
TYLER PHILIP RATCLIFFE
The song draws from the pattern Tyler sees in Scripture: Joseph’s long road, Job’s restoration, and, above all, the resurrection. Its verses look at the God who arranged the stars and still knows a person by name. The chorus meets that wonder with a simple confession: life is safest in the hands of the King.
There is no promise here that waiting will be easy or that every closed door will make sense right away. Tyler’s invitation is to keep trusting the Lord through it. For anyone standing in disappointment, Bigger & More Beautiful leaves room for hope.
