That’s how Lilies begins—not the song itself, but the story behind it. Toni shares openly that anxiety has been a longtime battle, one that’s tried to choke out her peace in both quiet and chaotic moments.
But one day, during a personal Bible study, Luke 12 stirred something new. Verses she had seen many times before suddenly felt personal again.
“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?” (Luke 12:25)
“Look at the lilies and how they grow…” (Luke 12:27)
That’s when a new melody started growing in her heart.
Co-written with Zelda Nera Hutzenbeler, Lilies bloomed from a moment of Scripture meeting real-life struggle. The song speaks for every person who’s ever battled stress, overthinking, or felt like they had to figure it all out alone.
