Matt Rees EPK
Matt Rees is a gifted Christian songwriter and musician from southeast Michigan whose honest, Scripture-rich songs point listeners to Christ.
Growing up in a musical family, Matt spent nearly a decade leading worship with guitar and keyboards, collaboratively writing songs for his local church. He now writes and records original music that ranges from intimate folk ballads and Psalm-inspired reflections to soaring rock anthems. Every song is crafted to build up the Body of Christ, teach and confess the Word, and bring glory to God alone—drawn from real-life moments of prayer, marriage, and raising his children.
Matt regularly ministers at local churches and worship events. He has collaborated with fellow independent Christian artists including Grande Baliad, Felicity Joy, Scott DeClaire Jr., GracieEm, Paige Lee, and Erica Velasquez. In 2024, he teamed up with respected producer Jake Rye (formerly of Sanctus Real) to release the Redeemer EP and several impactful singles such as “Breaking” and “Hope Eternal.”
In 2026, Matt is releasing his full-length Christian folk / singer-songwriter album, continuing his mission of creating accessible, theologically grounded music for the Church.
Matt Rees is now part of the Kingdom Chorus roster and available for airplay through Kingdom Chorus Access.
