Matt Rees & Erica Violet Join Kingdom Chorus

kingdomchorus | March 30, 2026

So from time to time, I come across artists some incredibly talented Christian indie artists who sounds like they could be on Klove, with the creativity, the gifts, the MISSION and Drive to make things happen as far as quality of production for their music and the desire to reach more people with the songs that can open hearts to the gospel.

That’s exactly what I felt as I got to know both Matt Rees and Erica Violet.

We’re honored to officially welcome them to the Kingdom Chorus roster.

Matt Rees comes from years of faithfully leading worship in the local church. His songs are rooted in Scripture, shaped through real life, and written to build up the Body of Christ.

Whether it’s a quiet, reflective moment or a bold, full-band declaration, everything he creates points back to truth.

Erica Violet brings a heart for healing through the presence of Jesus.

Her music is deeply personal, shaped by her own journey, and carries a simple but powerful message, that you are known, loved, and accepted.

Alongside her husband, she continues to serve in the local church while writing songs that speak to both individuals and congregations.

What connects both Matt and Erica is not just their sound, it’s their foundation.

These are artists who are writing from a place of faith, not performance.

From Scripture, not trends.

From real life, not just ideas.

And that’s exactly the kind of music we believe in.

Our mission is to help songs like these Erica and Matt write and produce, reach the people who need them most, whether that’s through playlists, radio, or everyday listeners searching for something real.

We’re excited to walk alongside both Matt Rees and Erica Violet in this next season, helping build momentum, expand their reach, and support the message God has placed on their hearts.

This is just the beginning.

About Matt Rees

Matt Rees is a Christian songwriter and musician from Redford, Michigan, whose music is rooted in Scripture and shaped through years of serving in the local church.

After nearly a decade of leading worship from guitar and keys, Matt began writing songs within his church community, crafting music that reflects real moments of faith, prayer, and daily life.

His sound ranges from simple, reflective folk ballads to powerful, soaring rock anthems, but at the core, every song is built on the same foundation, the Word of Christ.

With a heart to strengthen the Church, Matt writes to build up the Body of Christ, encourage believers in truth, and glorify God alone.

About the Artist – Erica Violet

Erica Violet is a Christian songwriter, artist, and worship leader whose music is centered on bringing healing through the presence of Jesus.

Alongside her husband Kaleb, Erica serves in the local church in the suburbs of Chicago and collaborates with songwriters across the country, helping craft music that speaks to the global Church and points hearts back to Jesus.
