THE SONG
Stand your ground.
Keep the faith.
Whoop the Devil is the debut single from Destin Dumais, an independent Christian country rock artist from Northern Ontario, Canada.
Destin describes the song as a gritty, hard driving anthem for the moment the enemy comes knocking. Its country rock sound carries the edge of Southern and outlaw country, but the message stays rooted in Jesus: stand your ground, fight the good fight, and hold on to your faith.
The title is bold, and so is the music. At the center of it is a familiar Christian resolve. The fight is real, but fear does not get to have the final word. Destin wants listeners to meet it with faith instead of backing away.
“Standing your ground, fighting the good fight, and keeping your faith in Jesus when the enemy comes knocking.”
DESTIN DUMAIS ON THE SONG
For Destin, this release is also a beginning. He is sharing the songs God has put on his heart as an independent artist, bringing his Christian message to a country rock sound that does not soften its edges.
