Last year felt like standing on the edge of a cliff with no idea how deep the water was below me.

Everything was changing at once: our plans, our future, the version of life I thought I was walking into. I kept saying I trusted God, but truthfully, I was scared of what “next” was actually going to look like.

Over and over, God showed up in ways I didn’t expect. Not always by fixing things, but by reminding me He was still holding everything in His hands. One night I told Taylor I felt like something was missing from my next album.

Not just another song, but an anchor point. Something that encapsulated who God had shown Himself to be to me in this season.
She looked at me and asked, “So who has He shown Himself to be?”

The answer came so easily.
“He’s been bigger… and more beautiful than anything I could have imagined.”
That phrase lived in my phone notes for months, waiting. Then in July, I sat down with friends and songwriters and said, “There’s a title on my heart.” We built it line by line, uncovering more depth, chasing the right melodies, turning a single line into a song.

One of those writers, Joy Dame, passed away just a month later. She never got to hear the final product, but I know she would be so thrilled with it.
So this song isn’t just about who God has been to me. It’s about the people who helped me find the words.

And it’s about trusting that even when life feels uncertain, God is still (always) bigger and more beautiful than we can imagine.
