But years later, the song became a lifeline.
“I wrote this song years ago with some of my best friends for church. Back then, it was just obedience, something we made and moved on from. But it’s wild how the things you create out of obedience in one season become a lifeline in another. This song sat on a Dropbox link for years collecting dust but when it came time to bring a collection of songs together for Humanness, it found its home. A bridge between who I was and who I’m still becoming.” — Ben Jero
